So what exactly is music and why is it so important in our lives, especially nowadays?
According to Webster's II: New Riverside University Dictionary, music is "the art of arranging tones in an orderly sequence so as to produce a unified and continuous composition". But most of us know that. In reality, music is more than mere compositions. Music fills our souls when it is empty of any other emotion. It is the language that needs no interpretations. An opera sung in Greek is just as soul stirring as one sung in Latin or Hindi for that matter. For others, perhaps, it is that one indulgence that makes up for all the other stresses in life, the one refuge in this concrete jungle!
